Teetering Between the Ordinary and the Strange

Gregory Crewdson’s is one of the most influential photographers of our time. His shoots are epic productions. He has a crew of over 40 people, sometimes utilizing over 50 lights and even has city streets shut down, street signs removed and buildings demolished! His images all seem to have an eerie tranquility. He is infatuated with moments which teeter between the ordinary and the strange. For me the first time I saw one of his photographs, I remember a chill running through my entire body and truly recognizing the true power of pictures.
